FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield Public Library’s annual One Book, One Town writing contest is back. If you’re interested in submitting work for the contest, you have only a few days to do it. Town Librarian Karen Ronald will accept the last entries Jan. 31.

This year’s theme is “Voices from the Past.” It’s inspired by the library’s 2012 One Book, One Town selection, “The Watch That Ends the Night: Voices from the Titanic” by Allan Wolf.

The winners of this year’s contest will be announced March 1. They will be honored at a special reception before Wolf’s visit to Fairfield on March 26. The winning pieces will also be published in an e-book available online later this year.

Submissions can be either poetry or prose but should be fewer than 300 words. All entries should be sent in a Microsoft Word document, double-spaced. They should be sent via email to Ronald at kronald@fplct.org. No hard copies will be accepted.
