Fairfield Police are investigating claims that an 8-year-old Fairfield girl is the target of bullying on her bus ride home from Bridgeport's Six to Six Magnet School. On Tuesday, a Rhode Island Avenue resident called police from the Urgent Care Center on Stillson Road to report that her daughter was beaten by an older boy on the way home from school.

According to the girl, on Tuesday she was talking with a friend on the bus when an older boy approached her, hit her with an open palm, and slammed her head into the window. She added that the same boy had also hit her on the ride home the day before. Because they were traveling on the highway at the time, the girl said the driver did not see either incident. Currently, Fairfield Police are investigating the matter, working with Bridgeport and state police to determine jurisdiction.
